Attack Of The iPhone-Controlled Drones [Video]

Today at Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco, the French company Parrot showed off a drone. Big deal, you might think — plenty of those out there. But this quadricopter is cool because it’s controlled by WiFi, by an iPhone. And when it’s in flight, the drone’s two cameras stream video live right to your iPhone. It’s very, very cool.

Watch the video below to see their on-stage demo. As you can see, this drone can also automatically stabilize and hover in the air. This thing works inside and outside, and comes with two augmented reality games. This may have been my favorite toy if it were around when I was a kid. Hell, I still want one.
